M.Sc. (Mathematics), MHS (Sports and Exercise Medicine) Tia Viskari works as a doctoral researcher in Tampere University in the discipline of Social Psychiatry. In her dissertation thesis she studies associations between physical activity promotion at school and mental health among children, both in general and focusing on schools with the Icehearts program. The study combines both quantitative and qualitative methods. She has also 15 years of experience working as a teacher in the lower secondary school.
