Dear reader, Thanks for showing interest in my profile! I am a doctoral student in Management and Organisation at Hanken School of Economics in Finland. My academic research focuses on the topic of "Co-creating the future of work: making sense of emerging human resource development practices in the GenAI era". With a curious and open-minded approach, I am fascinated by the subjects related to the “future of work”. As an academic researcher, I have gained experience in various areas, including HR and technology (such as AI and video recruitment), internal and external employer branding, employee experience and well-being, as well as the study of Gen Y (millennials) and Gen Z in the context of hybrid work environments. Additionally, as a freelance researcher, I have been involved in four projects through The NextGen Project, a think tank based in Helsinki, since 2021. These projects include: 1. Next Generation Work - What Millennials Expect From Working Life: A research endeavour focused on co-creating the future of work for both Generation Y and Generation Z in the Nordic and Baltic countries, specifically conducted for YIT with a distributed team. 2. Leading Hybrid Work - Five Lessons For Executives: I authored a white paper in collaboration with Microsoft, commissioned by YIT, which was released on November 9, 2021, during the Microsoft Suomi Envision event held in Helsinki. 3. The Purpose Gap: A joint research project between The NextGen Project and Cognizant, investigating the purpose of Millennial and Generation Z talent at work across 14 European countries and 16 industries. The findings were published in a report by Cognizant in January 2022. 4. The NextGen Work Canvas: This project involved the co-design of a canvas for hybrid teamwork, based on the insights gathered from 30 young professionals during the Hybrid Work Lab, organised in collaboration with Fujitsu, ISKU, and Howspace. During 2024, I worked on two research projects: - The first project explores HR professionals' perspectives on generative AI and their experiences of it in Finland. I am currently writing the manuscript with my two thesis supervisors. - The second focuses on the intersection of sustainable careers and AI implementation. The co-authored manuscript is currently being reviewed by Human Resource Management Review. In 2025, I will be investigating a pilot programme led by The NextGen Project to coach young professionals using a private GenAI tool. As my studies and career progress, I will provide further updates and information. Best regards, LeylaAvainsanat
