A conceptual framework for optimal modeling design of chiral magneto-plasmonic nanophotonic ‎devices

Rahoitetun hankkeen kuvaus

This research focuses on chiral plasmonics and magneto-optics. The aim is to use magnetic modulation to enhance the chiro-optical response in nanophotonic devices, with vast applications in optical communications, sensors, computing, and even modern optoelectronics. The addition of a magneto-optically active element makes the magnetic impressiveness of the chiro-optical response in a chiral magneto-plasmonic system possible. Using this magnetic dependency of the optical response, it is possible to control the chiro-optical response with an externally applied magnetic field, with the ultimate goal of reaching dynamic tunability of the chiro-optical response in chiral magneto-plasmonic structures, valuable to a great variety of applications.
