In the framework of my dissertation project "On Governance of Quality Shipping in the Baltic Sea" (2010-2014), I have conducted a number of expert interviews in Finland and Russia. The goal of the research interviews was to find out more about the interaction of actors with potential to influence Baltic energy transport. In particular, they aimed at clarifying how does the existing governance instrument mix affects the Baltic oil transport, mainly from Russian Baltic ports. The semi-structured interviews took place in June 2011 (St. Petersburg, N=8) and April 2012 and May 2013 (Helsinki Capital Area and Finland Proper, N=5). The interviewees was granted anonymity.
