Metadata for article "Puppet Strings of Hydrogen Plasma Reduction of Iron Ores: The Impact of Process Parameters on Plasma Properties and Reduction Kinetics"

Kuvaus

The research was conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials, Düsseldorf (then Max Planck Institute for Iron Research) in collaboration with the University of Oulu, Finland. The objective of the study was to identify the governing factors, such as pressure, arc length, and current, on the hydrogen plasma smelting reduction of magnetite. The long-term goal is to develop an in situ measurement method for hydrogen plasma smelting reduction with real-time analysis capability. The details of the plasma reactor, spectrometer, and camera together with detailed experiment steps are described in the publication (10.1007/s11663-025-03698-2). The data comprises of plasma reactor data (descriptive text and images), OES spectra (.raw8 and .raw8x[raw data], .txt [exported data]), videos (.MOV), and details of the experimental variables (pressure, current, arc length). The data may be made available upon reasonable request from the authors.
