Subset of the MIRACLE emCCD all-sky camera data at 427.8nm from ABK and KIL on 18 Feb 2018 00-02UT

Kuvaus

This is subset of the data from MIRACLE emCCD all-sky imagers operated in bi-static mode at Abisko and Kilpisjärvi. The subset includes raw images taken with 427.8nm filter. The emCCD imagers were in specific BLUE2 mode taking images every 2s trough 427.8nm narrow band filter with exposure of 1000ms. The images are stored in PNG format and the metadata of the imager are in EXIF fields of the images. This data set is used in the paper "Reconstruction of precipitating electrons and three-dimensional structure of a pulsating auroral patch from monochromatic auroral images obtained from multiple observation points" by M. Fukizawa et al. submitted to Annales Geophysicae, 2022 ( https://doi.org/10.5194/angeo-2022-5) The Abisko imager at the Abisko Scientific Research Station of Swedish Polar Research Secretariat is owned and operated by Sodankylä Geophysical Observatory, University of Oulu. The Kilpisjärvi emCCD imager at Kilpisjärvi Biological station of University of Helsinki is owned and operated by Finnish Meteorological institute. The dataset includes image orientation calibrations made by FMI and by the author. More details about MIRACLE and the emCCD imagers see: https://space.fmi.fi/MIRACLE/ASC/index.php
