Perceptions of technical and vocational forestry education and of forestry extension Tanzania: Baseline study, feedback and impact evaluation data from 21st Forestry TVET-TZ project

The data covers three datasets collected during the 21st Forestry-TVET-TZ project. The data covers both qualitative and quantitative data, collected through web-based surveys , focus group discussions and group works:
1) Baseline study data, exploring students' and staff's perceptions of technical and vocational (TVET) forestry education, and extension officers' (EOs') perceptions of forestry extension in Tanzania (TVET students n: 308 ; TVET staff n: 28 ; ,EOs n: 9)
2) Feedback data, evaluating the relevancy and success of selected project activities from the perspective of project participants (n: 16).
3) Impact evaluation, examining and evaluating the project outcomes and possible long-term impacts, as well as relevancy of the project and its activities, from the point of view of participating individuals and institutions.
The 1 year Active pedagogy and modernised professional skills in technical and vocational forestry education in Tanzania (21st Forestry TVET-TZ) – project aimed to strengthen Tanzanian forestry technical and vocational institutions (TVETs) and extension officers (EOs) capacity to provide working life relevant and inclusive education and training for sustainable societal, economic, and environmental development. The project focused especially on topics of modern pedagogical approaches, climate-smart forestry, and innovation and entrepreneurship.
